JCS 2007 Fall Banquet Nearing Goal!
Due to a Capital Campaign Kickoff Banquet, the JCS Annual Fall Banquet was not held in the usual fashion this year. Instead of actually attending a banquet, supporters of the annual event simply mailed in donations and pledges which currently total more than $58,000. The goal for the event (which supports the general operating budget of the school) is $75,000 and pledges are still being accepted.
Legacy For His Kingdom Capital Campaign
A $3 million dollar capital campaign for the expansion of classrooms at JCS was kicked off at a special banquet on October 20, 2007. To date pledges total more than $435,000. Additional information can be received by contacting Sandi Ott in the Development Department at 814-288-2588 X224.
Pennsylvania Educational Improvement
Tax Credit Benefits JCS Families
Recent changes in state law now allow progressive-thinking businesses
and corporations to contribute money to fund quality education and at the
same time benefit from tax credits. For JCS this means greater assistance
to families who struggle financially to make Christian Education a reality.
This past year, 4 different area businesses contributed in this way. These contributions are providing a boost to our existing
Tuition Assistance Program. Eligible families will be encouraged to apply
for this and other funds that have been contributed.
Business owners should be aware that it is NOT too late to take advantage
of the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit program. If you are authorized
to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and are subject to certain
taxes, including Corporate Net Income Tax, you can participate in this WIN
- WIN - WIN program too!
